The members of Collective Impact team are charged with the critical task of facilitating the so much needed change in the Israeli employment market, in close collaboration with all partners of Collective Impact.
Yifat Ovadia-Founder & Deputy Co-Chair
Yifat was born and raised in Beersheva, the daughter of Holocaust survivors. She is married, the mother of three, and lives in Emek Hefer.
Yifat holds a Bachelor's degree in law from Tel-Aviv University, and a Master's degree in public administration from Harvard Kennedy School in Boston, as a fellow in the Wexner Leadership Program.
For ten years, Yifat worked as a commercial attorney, partner in the law firm of Ben-Ari, Fish, & Co. in Haifa. She later became managing partner and head of the civil litigation department in the law firm of Orna Lin & Co. Yifat was one of the founders of the Justice Haim Cohen Center for the Legal Protection of Human Rights, and served as manager of the center in its first year. Yifat has done pro bono work and provided ongoing legal consultation for many social NGOs.
In 2006, Yifat founded the Olim Beyahad organization, for the advancement of leadership and excellence in the employment of Ethiopian university graduates, and served as CEO of the organization for seven years. Today, Yifat is a member of the executive committee of Olim Beyahad and is deputy chairperson of the committee.
In 2013, Yifat founded the Collective Impact Initiative together with Dr. Sameer Kassem and their colleagues from Class 24 of the Wexner Program.
Keren Morag-Co-CEO (Partners & Infrastructure)
Keren was born in Jerusalem and she is the mother of Keshet. She is Co-CEO (Partners & Infrastructure) of the Collective Impact Initiative – The partnership for a breakthrough in Arab employment, since its establishment in September 2013.
Prior to that, Keren served as deputy CEO of the consultancy division in the IT company Taldor, and before that she worked in the government sector for 13 years. Her last position was head of the department for improvement of services in the Ministry of Absorption. She has been involved in public/social service for 20 years.
Keren holds a Master's degree in public administration from Harvard (Wexner Foundation scholarship), and a Master's degree in communications and international relations from Hebrew University.
Nawa Jahshan Batshon-Co-CEO (Employers)
Nawa is an organizational psychologist and consultant, holds M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Ben-Gurion University. In the course of her career, Nawa held different managerial positions both in private companies and in NGOs. Several years ago Nawa founded MAWARED (resources in Arabic) Consulting Services business, which practices consulting and organizational development in various companies and NGOs.
In June 2014 Nawa joined The Collective impact Partnership for Arab Employment as Head of Organizational Consultant Team and Interface with Arab society, And now holds the position of Co-CEO (Employers).
Nawa committed years of professional work to promote employment diversity in Israeli through advancement of Arab employment, both men and women. In addition, she is active in different forums promoting these issues.
Nawa is married to Jacob and a mother of two.
Anat Givati- Deputy CEO – Employers
Born in 1964, Anat lives in Kfar Monash in Emek Hefer. She is married with three children.
Anat holds a Bachelor's degree in computer sciences from the Technion, and worked in the computer department of the National Insurance Institute for 20 years.
During her last position there as head of division, she completed her studies in group facilitation at Bar Ilan University, and a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the Open University. In 2010, Anat left the public sector for work in the third sector, and for more than five years worked in Olim Beyahad in a number of positions, the last one – deputy CEO.
Michal Shamai-Manager Resource Development
Michal Shamai is a mother of two and lives in Tel Aviv.
Michal joined the initiative in March of 2017, as the Resource Development Manager, a position that she has extensive experience in both as a professional and volunteer, in various civil society organizations. Michal grew up in Jerusalem and the United States. She studied Biology (BS) and Medical Research (MS) and afterward continued on to receive a Teaching Degree. She began her professional career as an educator and developer of educational programming at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Bloomfield Science Museum Jerusalem, and for the Karev Educational Program. She then continued on to work for the Heschel Center for Sustainability and was a part of the founding team leading the development of the Green Network – an organization for the advancement of education in the field of sustainability – where she held a variety of positions.

Ibrahim is 36 years old, married to Jadir, father of Muhamad and Omar, and lives in Tira. He is an industrial and management engineer. Ibrahim joined Collective Impact in April 2016 as key account manager. Prior to that, he held several management positions in the business sector and in the cellular field, mainly in leading, developing, and embedding business processes in the company, recruitment and training, retention of human resources, building control mechanisms and optimization processes, business consulting, accompanying small and medium businesses, and building marketing and management programs.
Together with a group of friends, he founded an organization to advance welfare-related activities in Tira, with the vision that within 10 years the organization will be a leader in the city of Tira and will be involved in other social issues to advance the quality of life and education in the city.

Nadia AbdElal Odeh-KAM
Nadia is married to Haitham and lives in Haifa. She studied Human Resources at Haifa University but gained her most significant experience in the organizations she worked in: she started at Pelephone as a representative and was quickly promoted to manager of sales centers, from there to human resources and then to training and organizational development. Her last position was Human Resource Manager for the international company Nilit. Nadia is leading the process with Tnuva, Deloitte, Amdocs, and Microsoft.

Shadi is originally from Haifa. He is married to Salma and Father to Majd.
He has a BA in Business Administration and is planning to start his master’s degree in
organizational consulting. He was a manager of service centers and sales for a cellular company and managed client portfolios for several companies. Two years prior to joining the Initiative he was a manager of a boutique for individually designed cakes, a hobby that became a profession, “an interesting and challenging time that I chose to end so I could join an exciting and inspiring initiative”. Shadi joined the Initiative staff in January 2017 in the belief that to make changes in the binational society there has to be an active arm in the field. In light of his experience in the sphere of candidates and in many organizational cultures, he views his participation as valuable for both sides, both employer, and employee. Shadi leads the work .with Strauss Israel and Strauss Water
Mariam Kaboub Ghara-Coordinator employer jobs & Maantech
Mariam Kaboub Ghara was born in Jaffa. She is married and has one daughter. The family lives in the village of Jatt.
Mariam studied law and is currently studying for a degree in Economics and Management. Since the age of 16, she worked and volunteered in educational projects in Jaffa that bring Arab and Jewish children closer together. She worked for about 5 years in the business sector in one of the leading banks, first as a banker and then as a Processes Manager in the Planning and Operations Division, where she gained experience in leading the business and technology processes in the banking field.
Afterwards, she took an HR recruitment coordinators' course and worked for three years at the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa. There, she worked as Maantech project coordinator and placement manager. Maantech is a project aiming to integrate within the Israeli high-tech industry Arab engineers and students. It was launched by Israel's ninth president, Shimon Peres, and Cisco International.

Nov Liss-Coordinator of business leadership, mentoring, & project manager
Nov Liss Shimoni holds a BA in Political Science and Middle Eastern and African Studies from Tel Aviv University. She joined the initiative as a Personal Assistant to the CEO And now holds the position of Coordinator of business leadership, mentoring, & project manager, out of her strong belief in the initiative and its mode of operations. Previously she worked in the Foreign Relations Department of the Israel Patent Office – Ministry of Justice. Throughout her degree, Nov specialized in the Citizen Empowerment Center in Israel as part of the Monitor Project, following and monitoring the implementation of government decisions in order to improve the policy implementation process in the public system through civil monitoring and supervision. Nov lives in Tel Aviv and is married to Dan.
Gali Liss-Ginsburg-Director of measurement & evaluation
Gali is responsible for the initiative’s Assessment and Evaluation, since March 2017.
She was born in Berkley, California, grew up in Yokneam, and currently, lives in Tel Aviv. Gali is married to Yoni and is the mother to son Adam. Gali holds a BA in Management and Behavioral Sciences from Ben-Gurion University and an MA in Labor Studies from Tel Aviv University. Her dissertation dealt with the factors influencing employees in a company undergoing significant organizational change. Gali worked in the field of Employee Recruitment for Jobnet as well as in the Recruitment Department for Intel Kiryat Gat. In 2009, she began working as the Research Manager for the Israel Ministry of Economy and Industry, in the field of employment of the Arab population.
Yana Neumann-Director Knowledge & Management Dept
Yana holds an MA in Conflict Management and Resolutions and a B.Sc. in Psychology and Biology from the Hebrew University Jerusalem.
Yana is an experienced Organizational Consultant and Group Facilitator. Previously Yana worked as an Organizational Consultant and Project Manager as part of the Deloitte Management Consulting Team, dealing extensively with organizational change and human resource development in leading companies in Israel and abroad. In light of here desire to incorporate both organizational knowledge and tools into social action, she moved to the social sector and served as the Employment Department Director at the non-profit organization Kav Mashve, promoting equal employment opportunities for Arab university graduates. Yana joined the initiative as Director Knowledge & Management Dept

Izis Gahleb-Office manager
Izis Gahlev lives in Jaffa, is married to Firas, and is a new mother to Meryl.
She is currently a law student at the College of Law and Business in Ramat Gan and joined the initiative in April 2017 as the Office Manager. “I believe that with the help of this wonderful initiative we will be able to bring about equal rights and opportunities for the Arab population in Israel. It is all a matter of desire and aspiration for a better future.”
Hazem is a Key Account Manager (KAM). He holds an MBA (Master’s degree in Business Administration), a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and Electronic Engineering. He has more than 12 years of experience in management and business development in the automotive, tourism and hi-tech sectors. Hazem has volunteered in various community organizations and NGOs which tackle community and human rights issues. Moreover, he has managed several projects related to youth development and entrepreneurship and is a community activist. Hazem was also a basketball coach and a professional basketball player. He lives in Jerusalem, is married to Dana and has two children.
